Today, I am going to get familiar with FTP. Why? Simply because FTP is a must-have tool for every webmaster because using it we can upload our website on the Internet for everyone to see.
But, before we start with today’s lesson, please keep the “welcome email” (with login details to your web hosting account) handy. You must have received this email from the website where you got your web hosting plan. We will need those details to connect via FTP.

What is FTP?
FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. FTP is what most webmasters use to upload their files, pages, and pictures to their web hosting space. There are many different FTP programs available, some free and some paid.
Note: Using FTP, you can also download files from your webhost to your computer.
The FTP software we recommend to you is FileZilla. It is a 100% free software and has all the necessary features of a good FTP software.
