5 steps of Linking Your Domain to Your Web Host

I hope that now you have a Domain name and Web Hosting space. If you have any problems in registering a domain name or getting web hosting space, we encourage you to contact godaddy.com support or bluehost/siteground customer support. Their  team is available 24 X 7 and can guide you in the best possible manner.

Now it is time to link our domain name to the web hosting space!

Once that is done, when anyone will open your domain name in their browser, they will be able to see the website present on your web hosting space. (Note: currently your web hosting space doesn’t have any website, but we’ll anyway proceed with the linking anyway.)

Following is the step-by-step process of linking your domain to your web hosting space:

Step-1: Open the welcome email from your Web Hosting company (e.g. Blue host or Site Ground). That email must contain your domain name servers (DNS).

Step-2: Go to your domain management panel from where you have taken the domain name.

Step-3: At your domain management panel, look for options like: Change Name servers/DNS, Update DNS, Transfer DNS to Web host etc. Click on such link.

Step-4: Enter the DNS you have (from Step-1).

Step-5: Wait for a few hours (up to 24 hours) for the DNS propagation.

Congrats! You have successfully pointed your Domain name to the Web host.
Now, in the coming few lessons we’ll learn how to launch your website and register with some affiliate networks.

If you are unable to link your domain name to your website, simply contact the support team from where you bought the domain name or the web hosting space and they will guide you. It's very easy and if you get confused, they will help you out and connect your domain name to your hosting space within minutes.
